SECURITY BANK PHILIPPINES

Security Bank Corporation is a universal bank in the Philippines. It was established on June 18, 1951 as Security Bank and Trust Company and was the first private and Filipino-controlled bank of the post-World War II period. Security Bank was publicly listed with the Philippine Stock Exchange in 1995.

  • Minimum Loan Amount: PHP 30,000
  • Maximum Loan Amount: PHP 2,000,000
  • Payment Terms: up to 36 months
  • Approval Time: 5-7 banking days

Eligibility

  1. At least 21 years old at the time of application but not more than 65 years old upon loan maturity
  2. Must be a Filipino Citizen
  3. Must have an office or residence landline.

If Employed

  1. Minimum gross monthly income:
  • For Metro Manila: PHP15,000
  • For outside Metro Manila: PHP12,000

If Self-employed:

  1. With at least two (2) continuous years of profitable operations in the same line of business
  2. Minimum gross monthly income:
  • For Metro Manila: PHP30,000
  • For outside Metro Manila: PHP25,000

Documentary Requirements

  1. Completely Filled out and signed application form.

If Employed:

  1. One (1) valid government-issued photo ID
  2. Income Documents, any of the following:
  • Certificate of Employment and Compensation
    – issued within the last six (6) months
  • Latest ITR
  • Latest one (1) month pay slip

If Self-Employed:

  1. One (1) valid government-issued photo ID
  2. Previous Year Audited Financial Statement
  3. SEC Registration / DTI Certificate
  4. Business Permit / Mayor’s Permit
  5. Latest three (3) months bank statements
  6. Latest GIS (if corporation)

Note: Additional documents may be required to process the loan.

How to Apply

  1. Go the Online Personal Loan Application Facility.
  2. Accomplish the form by filling out all the required fields.
  3. Attach all the scanned copies or photos of requirements.
  4. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click next. Wait for a confirmation through SMS.

Fees and Charges

  • Processing Fee of Php2, 000.00, to be deducted from loan amount upon loan booking.
  • Documentary Stamps of Php 1.00 for every Php 200.00, for loans exceeding Php 250,000.00

Example: Loan amount is P251, 000.00 / 200 = Php 1255

  • Notarial Fee for loans more than P100K are:
  1. 100,000.01 to 500,000.00 – P125.00
  2. 500,000.01 to 1M – P150.00
  • Late Payment Fee is 3% of the amount due or PHP500 whichever is higher.
  • Pre-termination Processing Fee of 5% of remaining principal balance plus any unpaid interest.

How to get the loan proceeds

Loan proceeds are released through Managers Check (MC) or Credit to Security Bank Account. Loan proceeds may be claimed at Loan Availment Center in SBS Makati (3F, Security Bank Center, 6797 Ayala Avenue, Makati City) or through the branch where loan was applied. During loan availment you must bring the following:

  1. If employed, original company ID and one (1) valid government issued IDs
  2. If self-employed, original two (2) valid government issued IDs
  3. Other documents required for booking that will be relayed by the SBC representative that will call you regarding the loan approval.
